We’ll spend a day discussing materials you can grow at home or forage sustainably to create your own pallet of naturally dyed fabric or yarn. You will walk away with your own dyed materials…enough for all kinds of projects and crafts!

• Sourcing and scouring your materials before mordanting

• Mordanting processes and differences between cellulose and protein fibers

• Growing your own plants for dyeing

• Foraging for natural dye materials

• Over-dyeing and layering colors

• Caring for and using your dyed materials in projects
