2026 Farm Goals
While 2025 brought many challenges and changes, there was also so much beauty, and so much to celebrate. I just looked back over my farm goals for last year, thinking I’d have to carry most of them over to this year, and to my delight, there were only two that didn’t come to fruition. And that’s okay! I’ve moved them to this year’s goals, and added a few new ones.
It’s so easy to look back and feel like we didn’t accomplish anything, especially on a farm. The work is never done. But we do make progress, and seeing that those things in writing has made all the difference. I don’t believe in new years resolutions, but I do believe in manifestations. And I believe that what we put out into the universe, and keep feeding with our thoughts, positive affirmations and work, comes to us.
So, here are my 2026 farm goals and manifestations. Some are big, and there are a few I didn’t share because they feel too big or too private to share just yet.
Weekly Newsletter - I’ve been better about this in the past year, but things get crazy in the summer!
Create better systems for tracking farm financials
Improve our perennial areas - these are a bit overgrown and need some attention!
Create a solid plan for successive plantings - I created one last year, but by June I had totally ignored it. This means simultaneously getting better about sticking to a schedule I can adhere to during the week.
Healthy meals - some days are so busy I don’t even get to lunch, and when I do, it’s often grabbing what’s available. Sometimes it’s healthy, sometimes it’s just calories. Having things prepared for the week ahead is a priority!
The big ticket manifestation items:
A high tunnel - I’ve been making due with small caterpillar tunnels for years, and I’m so ready to go bigger!
A greenhouse - I have outgrown the grow lights and heat mats filling my basement, and the greenhouse plastic I have covering a cattle panel that I’ve used for years has been duct taped and patched beyond recognition. The bottom finally rotten out this year, and I need a safe, dry, warm space that also keep the cats out.
A deck. This is slightly frivolous in my mind, but when I envision myself at the end of every day, it’s on a deck. A necessity? No. But would it make me happy? Yes. Yes. Yes.
Well, there they are! What are your manifestations and goals for 2026? I am so excited to leave 2025 behind and see what the future holds!
